Following is a list of recent projects and improvements for the Premium Insurance Broker Agency system.

Agent Statistics Extract

“PREMIUM enhanced to allow historical ‘Agent Statistics’ extract” – June 2007

PREMIUM keeps a ‘current’ monthly statistic summary of agents commissions. This new facility allows historical information regarding Agent Statistics to be regenerated for data export purposes. History can be regenerated for up to 5 years prior.

CHARON/VAX System Migration

“PREMIUM ported to CHARON/VAX Emulator” – December 2005

The ever increasing cost of maintaining and supporting aging VAX/VMS hardware presents a key challenge for business running legacy applications. PREMIUM is now able to run under the CHARON/VAX Emulator environment meaning that current hardware technologies can be used to host the PREMIUM applications.

Policy Data Extract

“Flexible data extract facility developed fro PREMIUM” – March 2005

The need to provide timely access to ‘complex’ application data is critical in supporting business decision making. The PREMIUM system has been enhanced to provide flexible policy extract facilities that enable data from multiple sources to be blended for export to external reporting and analysis tools. Data extracted includes, client data, policy data, transaction history and more.

Motor Vehicle Policy Enhancements

“MVP Line of Business enhanced for new vehicle categories” – February 2004

System interfaces between insurers and agents are subject to change. The PREMIUM system is required to be sync with changes in incoming ‘data file formats’ so that the integrity of electronic data interfaces can be maintained. This enhancement featured refinements to validation on ‘Vehicle Category’ codes.
